We are constantly making the on-line ordering process as easy as possible. If you have been to other similar product websites and try to find a product, you know how difficult it is and you know what we are talking about. Email Address: If you are using free email address with your order; please make sure you check your email daily, if we contact you and we are unable to get a reply, your order may be delayed.

We realize many of our customers drive some distance to our store in Minneapolis. To better assist you, please call us to check on availability of items you are interested in. Or, you may phone or order on-line items ahead of time so that they are ready for you when you arrive. If we are unable to answer the phone right away when you call during business hours, we are either with a customer or away from our desk processing mail-orders. Please leave a short CLEAR message, name, and phone number - we will contact you. To order by phone, please have your name, address, phone number, credit card, item numbers, descriptions and quantity ready when you call. You may also mail in your order to us. We suggest you retain a copy of the order list/order form for your reference when your order arrives. We provide an itemized Order/Invoice for every order. US Mail Order: To avoid delay in shipping your order, please include a phone number in the event we have to contact you regarding your order. We recommend ordering by phone if you use check for payment.

Methods of Payment
We accept ONLY CONSUMER credit cards: American Express, Visa and Mastercard. CARDS NOT ACCEPTED BY BARKINGSIDE AT THIS TIME INCLUDE DISCOVER and BUSINESS/CORPORATE CREDIT CARDS ISSUED BY AE/VISA/MC,ETC (additional fees may apply for corporate or business credit card users). If you are an institution or business entity please refer to below for Educational and Commercial order information.

Personal and Business Check and Money Orders are welcome. For orders paid by check, please include bank telephone number on your check before mailing the order.

REFUNDS - All credit card order's refund including Savings in Shipping Charge, applicable Minnesota Food Sales Tax and Change Back if any are by check only.

Please note the following as you await your order: We will not charge your credit card until your items are shipped. For pick-up orders, your credit card will be charged the day we call you that your order is ready for pick-up. A note for our regular customer; you can plan your order by ordering items for pick-up or shipping at a specific future date (such as a month in advance), just note at checkout in the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS that you want your order shipped on a specific date. This service works great with wine kits, etc. during the holiday season.

Minimum Order Requirement: We accept cash and check and there is a $10.00 minimum purchase (excluding shipping charge) with payment by credit card. When ordering by mail, please send payment/order to the address listed above.

ssl encryption: Our online shopping is safe and is secured by ssl encryption. When you click on our Checkout button at the end of shopping you will be on our secure environment. Any information you send to us will be in a secured or encrypted format. You will see a padlock, our secure site seal, at the top of your browser after you click Checkout. Our shopping cart system is secured by ssl encryption, and verified by www.authorize.net.

For Educational and Commercial orders, please use check for payment. For large orders please check to make sure you have sufficient funds in your checking account before mailing it to us. Very often we process check payments the same day so your order processing can begin. We do not accept credit cards for educational or commercial orders. Initiate your commercial or educational order by submitting your order online with a credit card and we will contact you with check payment information. Your credit card information will automatically void thereafter. When ordering products for your classes (or business) don't forget to order them early so that they arrive in time. Ordering at least 2-4 weeks before your class begins is recommended. This will allow ample time for you to plan and prepare for your class! Additionally, it is strongly recommended to order a small quantity of an item as a sample to examine if it is what you are looking for in your class or business before ordering a large quantity as we do not accept returns unless it is a result of our error. A surcharge (to cover a portion of the freight to our store), in addition to item cost, may apply. Such items that may incur a surcharge includes grains, glass carboys, bottles and/or bulky products. These products usually encounter higher freight cost. Total cost for your order will be presented to you for review and payment before order processing occurs. There will be a 25% restocking fee if you cancel an order after 3 days from order submission. We learn from our importer/supplier that some bottle inventories do fluctuate day by day. Just in case it happens, we will order as many quantity you had submitted to us. Customer is expected to pick-up any quantity of bottles available up to the quantity ordered at time of pick-up. These ordering and payment information apply to educational and commercial orders only. We recommend you plan your order accordingly and allow ample time for class preparation or business presentation as we want our customers to be happy with their purchase. Have fun!
Shipping Charge for All Product

FedEx Shipping Charge on our website at Checkout is provided by FedEx. Large, bulky items are heavy (e.g. Press, Crusher, Glass, etc.) and may cost significantly higher to ship. If we are unable to honor the shipping charge as listed at Checkout on our website, we will contact you with an updated shipping charge for your order. When ordering bottles and/or carboys together with other miscellaneous items, submit a maximum of any 2 cases per order submission. If you need more than 2 cases of bottles and/or carboys submit a separate order. When you submit more than 2 cases of bottles and/or carboy per order, we will contact you and this may delay your order.

All orders are shipped to you directly from Barkingside Co. We do not drop ship. Each mail-order package will have a minimum of 7 oz (e.g., 8 oz loose tea) of packing material added to the total product weight. The amount of packing material used will depend on the individual products ordered. Shipping box size will also affect FedEx shipping rates. The FedEx package tracking number will be automatically emailed to internet orders. Please double-check the email address you provide for accuracy.

Minnesota Resident Only

MN Sales Tax applies to Non-Food items. Sales Tax may or may not show at Checkout but will be included in the paper invoice accompanying your order and will also be reflected in the total sales amount charged to credit card payments.

The assignment of the Flat Rate Shipping, Limited & Unlimited Saver Shipping offers are carried out during the processing of your order. When your order qualify for Flat Rate and Saver Shipping offers, the updated shipping charge will not show on the online checkout page but will be credited & posted on your Pdf email/paper invoice included in the shipping box. Savings range between 25¢ & $3.25 depending on the destination as listed in the charts & will be deducted from the shipping charge as listed on the online checkout page. Orders with Flat Rate and Saver Shipping offers take approximately 5-9 days for delivery depending on the destination and are ship by FedEx Smartpost and or Ground/Home Delivery when you checkout with Fedex Ground/Home Delivery shipping method on our shopping cart system.

 

When your order does not qualify for Flat Rate or Saver Shipping Offers and when your order has a request for a specific Fedex Shipping method, the regular Fedex Shipping Charge as listed on the checkout page will apply.

Estimated Ship By and Delivery Dates

Customer Care is important to us!! Once you've place an order with us, we offer prompt and careful delivery of your purchases. Your order will be shipped within 48 hours of receipt and often within 24 hours. During the holiday mail-orders can take 2-3 and upto 7 days to be shipped for in stock items. If you are in a hurry to get your order please let us know and we will do our best to get it shipped that same day. Approximate Delivery Date (Depends on Delivery Location): 4 to 9 days. During the Happy Holidays Season: 6 to 11 days.

Returns and Exchanges

As "Your Neighborhood Specialty Store", we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied, call Barkingside Co. for return authorization number (RA#) to return the merchandise with a copy of your receipt/packing slip within 30 days of our shipping date (and within 10 days of purchase for retail and pick-up order customers). Send all returns to Barkingside Co., 6442 Lyndale Avenue South, Minneapolis MN 55423. We encourage you to return or exchange merchandise in a timely manner so as not to incur damage or wear. We stand behind the quality of our products and will make things right if you are not completely satisfied. We will issue a refund (excluding shipping cost, we will gladly refund the shipping cost if the return is a result of our error). Product being returned must be in new, unused condition. If you receive a damaged or broken item, call us as soon as possible. Please keep all packaging materials. A claim will be filed and a replacement will be sent. Allow approximately 2 weeks to process a refund check.

Miscellaneous Information

If you have questions regarding an order you have placed with us, please email or call us. We inspect all products from our suppliers before we sell them to the public. All orders are carefully packed to avoid damage during transit. In the event your order arrives damaged, unfit or unusable, report situation immediately to Barkingside Company for instructions and leave the damaged product in its original condition and case.
